For sure people think differently. I agree when having a discussion with someone it’s important to learn how they think.

I must tell you I used to be on the right, I used to support Trump actually. Part of what made me more sympathetic to immigrants is meeting some and they told me their struggles and I gained empathy for their struggles and how difficult the system is.

That is a really interesting story! I’m sure if he were still alive he’d be very happy to hear some of his works completed.

I totally understand feeling worn out but I know there is light at the end of the tunnel if unite and work together. In 2025 there are going to be local elections. These local elections really matter because they decide who will run your community. In 2026 the House and some Senate seats are up for election along with some governess. That election I think will determine the fate of this country. We must come back stronger than ever vote out all the corrupt politicians who oppose our democracy.

I don’t get it. Why can’t they just act like leaders and say we won’t support someone who’s going to undermine our military? The Republicans could all in unison denounce him and they would come out looking like strong and ethical leaders.

It seems he killed a dog with a shovel: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/sep/24/project-2025-kevin-roberts-killed-dog

And now he wants to appoint an incompetent drunk to lead our military.

We got to vote these corrupt politicians out in 2026! If we can get enough Democrats into office then that means Trump can be impeached.

What else are we supposed to do? I wish Biden would use his powers to stop Trump now but if he doesn’t we can either be stuck with Trump for 2 years or be stuck with him or 4 years or more. Getting a big blue majority in 2026 would stop Trump faster.

16 Democrats were absent. If 9 of them would have showed up both bills would have passed. Sources:

https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2024491 https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2024490

The list of Democrats who didn’t vote on both of the measures is the same. Here is the list:

  • Earl Blumenauer
  • Jamaal Bowman
  • Jasmine Crockett
  • Henry Cuellar
  • Dwight Evans
  • Lizzie Fletcher
  • Ruben Gallego
  • Jimmy Gomez
  • Raúl M. Grijalva
  • Ted Lieu
  • Kevin Mullin
  • Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
  • Katie Porter
  • Mikie Sherrill
  • Eric Swalwell
  • Jennifer Wexton

He’s like a Trojan Horse. I hope he does switch to the GOP so Democrats can run someone better next time. If he doesn’t switch to the GOP vote for someone else in the primary.
