Layers are the way to go. You can use the same rain jacket year round as your shell.

For the jacket get a good (NOT just DWR) rain jacket (I use a Helly Hansen 2.5 jacket). Helly Hansen, Outdoor Research, Patagonia, etc are all good options. Sailing companies typically make good stuff, pay attention to the millimeter waterproof rating. The 2.5 layer fabric is a nice blend of breathability, packability, and waterproofness imo since I don’t want to be sweating inside the jacket. If you happen to work as a first responder, outdoor professional, military, etc most of these high end outdoor gear companies have a “pro” program you can register for and receive 50% off your purchases.

Underneath that, as it gets colder layer whatever you already own for an insulation layer (polyfill puffer, wool sweater, stanfields, etc), I would avoid down fill in this case just in case you do ever soak through your jacket since it will lose its insulation capacity when wet.

For shoes I don’t really have a good recommendation since I just use waterproof socks and wear whatever shoes I feel like.

Seriously… enough of this “oh well its not that bad, atleast we can still do this, or that. Maybe blockers will work but with less features, etc.”

Fuck that shit

The extra [API] functionality already allows uBlock Origin on Firefox to work better than the Chrome version.

Always has been.

Tired of getting fucked by chr0me and g00gle? Stop spreading your cheeks and just use Firefox (librewolf, mull, et. al.) and uBlock Origin.

Simple as.

I don’t know, they have to monetise somehow. Paying for the convenience of sync seems like a valid path especially given there’s fully functional alternative syncs available for free.

I have a breville bambino plus for the past 3 ish years which also uses a thermoblock. I like it. Lower power draw at idle, no preheat, works like a charm IMO.

No need to DIY, Anki has tons of flash cards packs to download for free for any language.

Anki + downloading ready made vocab packs is a nice tool in the toolbox. Wont teach you a language on its own but good for increasing your vocab.

I used to really like it back in the Nokia 820 days when Nokia still owned it. Had really advanced features like AR POI’s and stuff way ahead of its time. I just assumed they are collecting and selling ALL your data now that car companies own it since thats what all car companies do using the infotainment, why wouldnt they in their own navigation software too?

Edit: forgot to mention what I use now, combo of OSMand~, organic maps, and when I cant find an address or POI on either of those, Apple maps through duckduckgo’s maps portal, and try to add it to OSM
