Miles O'Brien
Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I’ve spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.
Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.
Just don’t ask who what’s in the pattern buffer.
Damn, I would abandon that lever so hard…
Legit the moment a game pulls this shit on me I lose interest.
It’s children whining about how life is unfair but instead of actually trying to do something about it now, they’d rather feel smugly superior as they do fuckall and “wait for the revolution” or whatever.
Do I believe positive change is quick or easy? Fuck no. It’s hard work and it takes a ton of us working together. I harbor no illusions that my own singular voice will ever matter on a large scale, and I will happily take up my arms to defend the rights of those whose only crime is existing while lgbtq+/poc/whatever, but I’m gonna vote and campaign and everything I can do in the meantime.
Whether we’re headed for a cliff as a species or not is irrelevant, I don’t feel the need to hit the gas or sit back while mocking the people who are trying to stop the bus.
The moral high road is littered with corpses, and it looks like we’re bound and determined to add more to the pile.
Just put sleeping aids in his coffee, chloroform is terrible for your throat and lungs.
Just once I’d love to see a major government force a company into bankruptcy by making them clean up their own mess.
Company: “We can’t clean up our industrial mining waste, it’s too expensive and we would go under!”
Government: okay well we will have the taxpayers pay for it. Here have a bailout. Remember, daddy loves you so much “Oh then I guess you should have factored that into your costs. Get to work. And when you have no more money to pay for others to clean it up for you, we expect to see the executives and management out there with gloves and a can-do attitude”
They quite clearly told the world what the other way was on January 6th, 2021.
But instead of learning from history, and taking care of the problem with harsh sentences representative of the crime that was committed, we went ahead and put on the fluffy kid gloves.
And nobody cares about the grumbling in the background about bullshit sentences. They’ll use the same tired excuse of “we don’t want to appear biased” or “we don’t want to start more violence”
And the mere fact that they’re too scared to punish people over fear of retribution just goes to show that domestic terrorism works! Yay! Something something we live in a society I guess.
Funny, because not too long ago I saw a bunch of HBs and MLs going on about how “the libs can’t go more than one comment chain without wishing death and torture on anyone not voting like them”
Now who else do I know of where every accusation is a confession… Or projection, if you will.
Seems like a lot of them like to Gaslight, Obstruct AND Project.
