I definitely recommend people check out Youtube Premium if you hate ads and use YT a lot on smart TVs and mobile where ad-blocking is more difficult.
The majority of my video watching time is YT and I primarily do it on my phone or TV, so it is worth it for me. I wish I could cut out YT Music and save some money while using a music streaming service I prefer though.
Lightning was a good cable. It’s just that Apple didn’t improve it any for a decade and never opened it up so it could have been a standard.
It’s smaller and more durable. It’s just slow and proprietary.
Honestly, I don’t know how any end user who doesn’t understand IT and wasn’t around before services like Cloudflare were available can say this. They objectively don’t have the information or experience to make the claim.
There are so many wild things about that story. Assuming it is all true, he strangled his girlfriend, dismembered her, ran her through a meat grinder and disposed of the bones in three different bags. He got only 11 years. He was pardoned for being part of the Russian Army invading Ukraine. He only served in Ukraine for six months before retiring.
All that is insane. A murder with an already hilariously light sentence is pardoned by being on the front lines for six months?
Sound wisdom for both the husband and wife. Obviously the grandmother has her own experiences that make that good advice for a woman, but I think it’s good for everyone.
Have a joint account where you pay for shared expenses, and then your own separate account for yourself. For probably the majority of relationships now, both parties are (or at least should) be working anyway.
If you can’t afford basic necessities on minimum wage, the wage is too low and the job doesn’t deserve to exist IMO.
Especially when so many of the largest companies are profitable and making more and more money. This system is unsustainable. It also causes societal unrest which leads to extremism. I don’t understand the mindset behind it, the increasing polarization as things get more and more unaffordable seems to support the theory.
Imagine both the annoyance and job security having to manage MS-DOS and 3.1 systems for a railroad would entail.
Did people call RCS open source? I’m not a huge follower of the standard, but I don’t think I ever heard that said. In fact, I’ve heard people complain about not just the proprietary encryption but lack of E2E and carrier/Google control.
Its only advantages are that it is better than SMS and supported by the carriers, Google and Apple sometime this year.
It’s a shitty standard but given how shitty SMS is, I’m willing to hold my nose and jump in.
