I took one of those autism tests and I can’t remember off the top of my head what the score was but it was very high which both surprises and doesn’t surprise me. I mask extremely well according to most people I meet. Telling me “You seem normal” or even “You aren’t autistic”.

I’ve only had two people tell me “It’s obvious” ever, my mom and a single friend of mine.

But holy hell all the other autism personality/psychological aspects are like cranked up to 100 and I have a love/hate relationship with that. Hyperfocus is a double edged sword for instance. I love that I can get super into something and get really fucking good at it but I don’t love obsessing over the same thing for months to the point of it keeping me awake at night and hurting other aspects of my life because I can’t change mental direction.

It also isn’t good for social anxiety, way too much rumination on single awkward conversations MAKE IT STOP.

Like, I agree with the tit for tat. But don’t let your cat outside.

Let me just state the obvious: They fired her due to the current US administration. She got harassed in the first place because of the current US administration.

Trump is effecting corporate decisions without even making in specific executive orders as well bolstering the common rightwing individual’s boldness in harassing people.

Originally I never wanted kids because it sounded like it’d get in the way of all the other stuff I want to do in life.

Now I don’t because I see it as unethical.

It sometimes depends on the programmer’s situation. Maybe its “lose a ton of credibility or live on the street/lose your H-1B Visa”

Capitalism makes abundance problematic.

It would be nice if we had elected the boring president yeah.

One of the issues is a lot people don’t want to do amateur stuff. They aren’t comfortable even starting because then they’ll start comparing themselves to others and begin self loathing.

“Ugh, I’m 32 years old and I draw like a 3 year old. Fuck this.”

This applies to more than just art.

“I can barely manage to operate the basics of a computer there is no way I’ll ever code.”

“I have no sense of rhythm and I’m out of shape I’ll never be able to dance and not look terrible.”

“Can barely socialize platonically at all, there is no way I’ll ever talk to that cute girl/boy, I’m going to die alone.”

Sometimes its either ship something broken or lose your job.

Edit: upon reading the article (I know…) AOC has the best net favorability. So a little more hopium there.
