Relationships are all about little compromises. It’s impossible to have a relationship without them so what you say she’s saying is nonsense. So, here are some wild likely wrong guesses that try to make sense of it based on what you’ve said:
-
Big changes, like fundamental identity changes, aren’t great for relationships, and maybe she’s had to deal with someone trying to do that kind of change in the past, so she’s come to the false conclusion that nobody should change anything about themselves in a relationship?
-
Another potential option is that she’s looking for excuses for the relationship to end but doesn’t want to do it herself.
-
She’s naive and childishly wanting someone exactly the same as she is, but she’s with you because she’s still yet to find that mythical prince that she hopes is around the corner.
-
She’s having cold feet about the relationship and projecting that pretty normal experience onto something in the relationship to make it your fault.
Anyway, my advice would be couples counseling if she’s willing, to help you both communicate expectations and wants.
Are these all Linux distros? I’m confused.
I feel like this post, and a frequent problem with these types of conversations online, is that it confuses millionaire and billionaire.
You might be able to become a millionaire if you invest in a retirement fund your entire working life. It’s basically required to do so if you expect to retire middle class.
But you cannot work or invest your way towards becoming a billionaire. You can only get there by being extremely wealthy to begin with.
I can’t wait for the day when all it takes to install an app on an iPhone is to click a link and you’re done!
That way all it will take to infect my parents’ phones with malware capable of scraping copious amounts of my data will be normal phone usage that Apple can’t protect against!
And now that AI is capable of simulating voices reasonably well, a phone call from mom asking for sensitive information can be done through her phone by anyone!
…do you know what enforces all of that?
The App store…
Specifically it limits what APIs can and can’t be used by apps and forces the use of entitlements to access features of the hardware.
Downvote if you want, but entitelements are part of the code signing process which this article is trying to avoid. And jailbroken apps already don’t have the protections you’re talking about.
It’s not uncommon for people to datamine not public API all over Apple’s frameworks and the only thing preventing the usage is App Store policies and static analysis tools.
