“Trafficking” in this case is being used to refer to aiding an undocumented migrant, not like sex trafficking, as far as I can tell.

As the post was stating, they get bloated by relying on vendors rather than in-house IT/Security.

My grandfather works IT for my state government tho and it’s a pretty good gig according to him

I mean their unwillingness to do anything about the market abuse and rampant child-gambling aside, the lootboxes for purely cosmetic items are one of the least predatory ways to do microtransactions. It’s not like EA where the only way to unlock entire characters in some games is to grind for hundreds of hours or pay, or like COD where they took the lootbox idea and made it actually affect (multiplayer) gameplay

Dude… what? China is very much a belligerent superpower. Your whataboutism abt the US has literally nothing to do with the topic of discussion as it has no bearing on this geopolitical situation, whereas China DIRECTLY NEIGHBORS the nation in question, is routinely aggresive towards western-allied nations like the Phillipines (or momgolia), and tends to side with Russia over western institutions. Are you being purposely obtuse, or are you just that dense?

Twitter now is what 4chan was then in many ways. This should be disconcerting in the least.

You mean the game devs that they take 30% from in a contract the devs agree to in order to list their game on the largest PC gaming store?

Besides that, steam has an incredibly low financial requirement to start selling your games on their platform. $100 usd per game (at least in the US) and you get it back if your game sells enough copies (100 maybe? I forget tbh.) It’s a great platform for indie devs which is why we’ve seen indie PC gaming boom so much in the past decade or so especially.
