Although the demo showed me this was more of a puzzle game than a strategy game (not big on that), the writing was so great and I love the aesthetic and the world concept. Should be a lot of fun.

For a dead franchise, Suikoden is still my favorite JRPG world, but I don’t think anyone’s bringing that magic back at this point. Eiyuden was a fine game, but even that didn’t have the parts of Suikoden I liked most. I guess I wish I had an alternate timeline where Murayama wasn’t pushed out of Konami.

Some new version of the original is coming. Wish they’d just announce it already.
