Firstly, you should think about the area you want to move to. Accordingly, you may need to learn languages. In the UK, the Nordic countries and Germany, you can get by well with English. In France, however, French is usually a must.

There are a few US-Americans working here in Luxembourg (mainly in banking and IT). English is often sufficient for professional purposes here. Privately, at least one other language is important (French, German or Luxembourgish). In a public school, children learn all three languages. There are a number of immigrants here who no longer understand their children.

All in all, it is still possible. Take a look around the job portals and simply apply.

Is this a cultural thing? I have never sent any thank you e-mail just to say thank you after an interview. Only if we agreed that I should send them some more information after an interview I’d start this mail by saying ‘Thank you for the interview. As discussed, bla bla bla…’.

Das finde ich so oder so verwirrend, da auch Wörter wortwörtlich übersetzt werden, für die es richtige Übersetzungen gibt. Schade um die Deutsche Sprache. Bin aber vielleicht auch zu alt für ich_iel ^^

Das nicht, weil das immer nur für ein Jahr gelten würde. 13x28=364, also muss doch ein Monat im Jahr 29 Tage haben.

Wieso schließt man denn eine ETF-basierte Rentenversicherung ab und holt sich nicht gleich ETF?

Trade Republic. ETF auswählen, Sparplan, laufen lassen. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Über eine (andere) Bank würde ich das eh nicht machen, da zahlste nur zusätzliche Gebühren.
