When I was late teens and early twenties, I kept getting propositioned by gay guys. It started to bother me - I’ve never been in any way homophobic, but I’ve also never been attracted to men - and I started to worry that there was some vibe I gave off that made people think I was gay.

Then I mentioned it to a gay guy who I knew, and he said that the vibe I give off is of someone who isn’t judgemental and who wouldn’t react badly to being asked. Maybe there’s something similar or analogous to your situation.

Jesus Christ, the astronauts aren’t stranded. The first manned flight of a new vehicle and there were some issues on the part that gets jettisoned and burned up, so they can’t inspect it afterwards. They’re trying to analyze it while they have it, and even with the leak they could be to there a month with no issue.

Boeing deserves the bad press they’re getting on the planes lately, but this is crap.

For sure don’t in any way respond, just report spam and block the number. Lots of these things are phishing attempts, trying to get you to give personal information (or even money), and aren’t connected to the things they mention.

The Republican response is literally that they’re going to defund the IRS. If there weren’t 100 other things demonstrating that the Republican party serves the ultra rich, and not the people, it would be astonishing.

I had a female employee come to me to complain years ago. She had had a disagreement with an older male employee (thankfully not mine) some weeks prior, and since then, every time he walked by her cube, he’d pause at her doorway, fart, and then keep walking without saying anything.

She at least was aware of how absolutely ridiculous it was, but legitimately didn’t think it was something she should have to deal with. One of the stranger management issues.

Good news. One of the most overt examples of organized racism in the modern era. I hope they make real change.

Apparently he was registered as a Republican, but in 2021 donated $15 to a liberal organization trying to increase voter turnout.

I’m sure in a few days we’ll know his favorite ice cream flavor.
