[Alt Text: A drink with a huge spherical ice cube and some kind of amber colored drink sits on a counter with an uncrustables sandwich garnishing the drink on the edge of the glass. Drink could either be straight alcohol or iced tea.]

Edit: Spherical ice CHUNK. Thanks @Ulvain@sh.itjust.works 😤

Now you’ve got me wondering if I’ve ever actually seen ice that was an actual geometric cube

Yah, I got one of these recently. You fill a plastic mold with warm water, set it in a freezer, use it in your drink later. Neat but really just a novelty.

I think they were just pointing out that an ice cube can’t be a sphere. it’s a cube…

Thee term ice cube transcends something as limiting as three dimensional space.

the best part of having it is being able to say that you have an ice sphere in your drink

Pro tip: for clear ice, put hot water in your mold and put directly in freezer.

Am I the only one who thought that was a polypore mushroom on the rim, and a gilled one in the drink?

Nah I’m with you. I had to read the description to make sense of it. I’ve never seen this type of round sandwich either, I thought I was looking at a sponge or something else

St George’s mushrooms are pretty top tier for the time of year, so they’re one of my favourites. Blewits are up there too :)
