A clean Android setup with the best apps (mostly open source)(alternativeto.net)

I tried to make a list on AlternativeTo that has all the apps you ever needs. I tried to avoid services and stick with apps, however there is a few services like Cloud-sync Notes, Password manager, E-mail aliases and a few others. I tried to stick with Free (as in free beer) Apps and when there is great options Free (as in Freedom) and open source.

Do you have any recommandations so I can improve that list without bloating it too much ?

Thank you, I know FlorisBoard, tried it a few times but HeliBoard and FUTO Keyboard are much more mature in my opinion. It is listed in other lists of mine however I could consider mentioning it as honorable mention.

I’ll check Simple Time Tracker as I want to have a more complete Productivity category with other apps I have to test.

  2. No distribution of APKs from unknown sources or direct downloads. You are only allowed to share from GitHub (no direct links, repo only), Play Store, F-Droid, or Aurora Store.

  5. No apps that require root to function. This also includes Magisk and Magisk-related software. However: If the app features extra functionality that is available if you are rooted, but it is not required to use the app it is then okay. I.e. YouTube Vanced does not require root, but it features stuff that works only with root.
  6. No software that requires ADB or patching system files. Exceptions are well-known debloaters such as UAD and other manually approved stuff. Otherwise, ADB is not a user-friendly or safe tool and discourage its usage here.
