A good chunk of the time I can’t share images because they’re in Webp format. Is there a way to force a different format? I don’t know if it’s a function of the content or Boost.

Cant you just change the extension to .png without any converter?

Hadn’t even thought of that. From what I’ve seen, changing the file extension just makes the file unusable.

I think you need to complain to the company making your messaging app. If they don’t support webp Boost can’t do anything about it.

You may just want to download a converter

If it’s an image that doesn’t have to be very high res, you can try taking a screenshot and cropping to keep just the photo.

That’s what I end up doing most the time because I’ve run into too many webp pics that I can’t send through text

Is the lack of support webp’s fault? Is it fair to hate webp?

Since I’m able to share gif, jpg, png files with no problem, then, yeah, I’m going to say this is webp’s fault. Yes, I’m blaming a file format. /s(?)

No, I don’t hate a file format, I hate its lack of support.
