Honestly, good on them. It’s ridiculous that only a handful of factories/companies can make most chips because of intellectual secrets. Thirst for profits is holding us back from advancement. This should be considered scientific knowledge, not trade secrets.

You might have had a point if the guy released this to the public and not to a direct competitor.

My point still stands. Him releasing it to a competitor is still getting the knowledge out there and allowing advancement.
