Fresh from pouring his money and energies into helping Donald Trump win reelection, Elon Musk has trained his sights on Europe, setting off alarm bells among politicians across the continent.

The Tesla and SpaceX chief executive has endorsed the far-right Alternative for Germany, demanded the release of jailed U.K. anti-Islam extremist Tommy Robinson and called British Prime Minister Keir Starmer an evil tyrant who should be in prison.

Elon Musk is beyond insane, he is batshit crazy.
According to Musk, Keir Starmer should be in prison but this idiot who repeatedly breaks laws should not?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Robinson

Robinson served four prison terms between 2005 and 2019. In 2013, he illegally entered the United States using a friend’s passport. In 2018, he violated a court order by publishing a Facebook Live video of defendants entering court. Prior to sentencing, he appeared on the American far-right website InfoWars to appeal for political asylum in the US. In 2021, he was subjected to a five-year stalking prevention order for harassing journalist Lizzie Dearden and her partner. In 2021, he was found to have libelled a 15-year-old refugee at a school in Huddersfield and was ordered to pay £100,000 plus legal costs. After breaching an injunction about repeating the libel, Robinson was sentenced to 18 months in prison. In June 2022 Robinson admitted gambling away £100,000 before declaring bankruptcy.

Why the fuck would anyone of their right mind choose to support such trash?

The only conclusion is that Elon Musk is not of his right mind, and should probably be committed to protect both himself and others from his insanity.

Edit for clarity:

Remind me again, why should Keir be in prison?

Cuz Musk said so. The point OP was trying to make was that Musk says Starmer should be imprisoned and yet wants to release a real criminal.

Exactly, I edited my post to make that clear.

Because he didn’t prosecute child groomers.

Despite being the first prosecutor to do just that.

But I guess he was too late to do it, even though Elon didn’t mention it anywhere near when it actually happened.

Hindsight is sometimes 20/20, but in this case I think Elon’s hindsight is 14/88.

I have no idea, probably because he isn’t fascist enough for Musk.

Watch the Connoreatspants stream with “Adrian Dittmann,” it went so bad it’s why he had to admit he really is Dittmann.

If you can stomach it, stay the whole time and listen to his views. He is seriously unhinged and views all human relationships as performative. He doesn’t understand emotions or care about them to the point that he thinks he doesn’t experience them despite his emotions being spectacularly on display anytime Connor got under his skin, which was a lot. He gets so fucking steamed.

In a way, we are actually really lucky he is so honest about who he is and how he works.

I had never heard of this Adrian Dittmann business. I did a bit of searching and there is also this, from the conservative publication The Spectator, arguing that Dittmann is a real person:

Here a professional does some research on audio clips from both Dittmann and Musk and comes to the conclusion that while it’s not impossible they are different people, it’s indeed highly improbable.

I’ve read The Spectator story and I’m unconvinced. Why does Dittmann seem to know a lot of about the companies internals or know Musk’s mind? Why do they have eerily similar opinions on nearly everything?

Musk is seriously unhinged, and I don’t think he actually spends a moment of time working as much as he likes to pretend he does. He even got outed for faking his POE ranking in the last few days. (This was after previously being kicked for “cheating” and then denying he cheated) He pays people to make him seem like a more “Epic Gamer” than he actually is. I don’t believe he’s above making fake accounts mostly because he’s literally been caught doing it before and having to admit it in a deposition. He was caught posting under an account made to look like his own son, was posting weird babytalk and weird sex talk.

Coupled with this photo and rumors that he was kicked out of the Bay Area Babyfur community in 2009 is all I need to know personally.

The idea that he couldn’t be Adrian Dittmann is honestly sillier than him being Adrian Dittmann, in my opinion. Further, nothing in the article is solid proof of much of anything, especially because Musk can unilaterally take over anyone’s account because he owns the site. Even if the account at one point was owned by a real Adrian Dittmann, the question is whether or not that person still really has control over the account.

Recall that Musk stole the X account from a longtime user. He is obviously not above stealing user accounts if it benefits him.

Finally, his laugh man. You can fake a lot about another person, but a laugh is hard hard hard hard to mimic. Why is Dittmann’s laugh a fucking exact replica of Musks? Even if their voices sounded similar, the likelihood of them both laughing the exact same way is even more unusual.

Just a heads up, the author of this article worked with maia crimew on it and then poorly presented the evidence in a right-wing paper with no credit. Here’s maia’s post with more solid evidence:

Any more of this and we all should be considering passing into law arsher anti social statutes, from any political quadrant or entity.

The fault here is not necessarily Musk. He asked these Politicians (and others like them) to reduce the barriers to putting money into Politics. These politicians agreed.

Remember this.

You didn’t enable him by voting for this. These alarmed politicians changed the laws to permit it. We need to be asking our politicians to get rid of these laws, and then tax billionaires out of existence.

Laws perhaps not, but lobbying (which is the action by which corporate interests exert control) in the EU is still a problem - https://esthinktank.com/2023/05/29/corporate-lobbying-in-the-european-union/

Rules:

  • Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:

    • Post news articles only
    • Video links are NOT articles and will be removed.
    • Title must match the article headline
    • Not United States Internal News
    • Recent (Past 30 Days)
    • Screenshots/links to other social media sites (Twitter/X/Facebook/Youtube/reddit, etc.) are explicitly forbidden, as are link shorteners.
  • Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think “Is this fair use?”, it probably isn’t. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.

  • Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed. Sources that have a Low or Very Low factual reporting rating or MBFC Credibility Rating may be removed.

  • Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.

  • Posts and comments must abide by the lemmy.world terms of service UPDATED AS OF 10/19

  • Rule 5: Keep it civil. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.

Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to “Mom! He’s bugging me!” and “I’m not touching you!” Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

  • Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.

  • Rule 7: We didn’t USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you’re posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
