They’re not a retro company. They’re just stuck in the past, and unable to head into the future. The consistency and the quality of their products say everything anyone needs to know
Perhaps it’s just me, but they’ve been releasing a good number of actually good things, though?
Persona, Yakuza, PSO, and even the fact the Sonic movies were… good? Or at least entertaining enough, which is a victory for a video game movie series, heh.
Let’s not jump to accusations now. People can be critical of something, without it being inherently negative. If anything, I want them to do better, because I know they can do better

while i think “old bad new good” is an overly simplistic way to look at things, i do appreciate this fire in SEGA’s eyes again. i hope they can find a way forward to expand their horizons creatively without alienating their existing players
