And lest you think this is exaggerating, this guy was released after his EIGHTH arrest for stalking.

I’m not a big fan of our style of incarceration… slave labor with the constant threat of violence from staff and fellow inmates (dependent upon which facility). But this is a guy who needs to be gone. He will never stop. He has no boundaries. And is constantly being emboldened by a system that says women aren’t allowed to ever feel safe.
I support corporal punishment for people like this. Cane the shit out of his ass until he can’t sit for a month.
I wonder what happens if these incels say “your body, my choice” to a woman who happens to be a CEO. 🤔
My bet is 90% chance they get some prison sentence.
You are. You are the meaning of the word incel. Look at your comment history, it’s thinly veiled tech reblogging about stuff you don’t know how to do, nitpicking, and straight up misogyny sprinkled throughout. Absolutely pathetic.
A regular woman is in the same class as a male CEO? You’re joking right? Because if you aren’t then you might be the dumbest motherfucker that I’ve ever interacted with and you’re to be taken about as seriously as a birthday clown. How can you not understand that what you said here is brutally idiotic?
If the court systems has given up on the very concept of justice…
The peaceful transfer of power in democracies is a peaceful revolution. That’s the entire point of elections, to change governments without fighting. If Trump and the Republicans manages to prevent either the 2026 or 2028 election they will have made peaceful change impossible.
Wait when did court systems provide justice? I thought they’ve always been a “polite” version of mob rule. (See: entire history of Spain, entire history of uk, entire history of Catholic church, history of new England, history of us / native American relations, history of us slavery, history of women’s suffrage, history of civil rights, history of abortion rights, history of gay rights, turing, history of trans rights - these are just the items in aware of)
Well, the point of the justice system was to make it so we didn’t have to apply mob rule ourselves. The system would apply consequences to bad actions. This was always going to be unequal, but it stopped functioning at all for the ultra-wealthy a while ago. Until it does again, it’s a sham and the protections they provided by giving an alternative are effectively gone. People need to see it working properly for all people for it to be trusted again and to protect everyone from vigilantism.
It applies to all regular citizens. Cops tell guys there’s nothing they can do about XYZ all the time.
The only divide is class divide.
Also, I thought that lady who used Luigi’s shell casing words also said “you’re next” which definitely adds to it
The only divide is class divide.
Every time I see people say this, all I can think is that they’ve never had someone get in their face and hate them for existing as part of a group of people.
Because there is literally a divide between bigots and non-bigots. There are plenty of dirt-poor bigots out there and “they aren’t your real enemy” is not going to convince them.
It’s a little chicken and egg, I think. Racist ideas were used to justify slavery, but it’s also possible that racist ideas played into the beginning of enslavement of Africans as well.
These days, I think it’s just a matter of people become bigoted through largely osmosis, and the conservative mindset is fertile ground for bigoted messaging. Political and economic elites, then, focus on culture war bullshit because it works as an effective smokescreen to prevent the news from focusing on billionaires’ (effectively) war crimes.
Big ol feedback loop of bigotry, unfortunately.
As someone that says ‘no war but class war’ let me clarify…yes there are clearly other divides. They are distracting us to keep us divided. Many times the bigot and non-bigot ven diagrams are 2 circle on top of each other, but it’s still based in class warfare.
Rich white went and got poor black slaves because it was cheaper than paying the local poor for work. Then the local poor hate the newly migrated people of color. It was slaves, but moved to employing underage kids for foreign countries. Either way it is still a class divide.
The rich use the media to keep us (working class) mad at each other and blame each other for taking our jobs. The truth is the owner class stole our wealth and sold it back to us for money. We were too distracted with lies about honest work to realize the truth in time. Some of this stuff happens in cycle and they wouldn’t notice for themselves. They get stuck buying way too much because it’s too easy and they don’t realize until they own more stuff than they need.
I know not everyone on ‘my side’ will agree with me and there are blind spots for me. I’m American, globally my quality of life is awesome and it’s on the backs of child slaves that I’m too disconnected with to feel guilty about. If you are an American and feel a certain way about your cell phone and chocolate, just know it’s not magic. A bad system that we can make better is currently in place. We take for granted because bad people employing child labor because it is cheap.
We are still on the same side even if we don’t know it. I believe it was Warren Buffet that said
There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.
The saying isn’t trying to claim those people don’t exist, of course they do. The saying is a declaration of the truth. The truth that those people are fucking wrong and dumb for their bigoted beliefs. Because our only enemy is the .01% at the top.
Your only enemy is the .01% at the top.
A lot of us have a second enemy- the bigots that want us dead. You can call them wrong and dumb for their beliefs, but they would still rather shoot me and people I love in the head than a CEO.
“you’re next” is a prediction, not a threat. Don’t normalize the conflation of the two.
Depends completely on context. Idk if you’re being tongue in cheek or not
The context is “beyond a reasonable doubt”.
In legalese, “It depends” translates to “Not Guilty”: you must assume the accused’s purpose and intent was innocent, if any innocent interpretation is at all “reasonable”.
With that being the case, cops and prosecutors might have had sufficient justification to conduct an investigation, but that investigation does not seem to have turned up sufficient evidence to arrest or charge her.
She’s going to get settlement when she decides to sue. Should be enough to cover the procedure she was apparently denied.
Now that I think of it, I think cops sit on the wrong side of the class divide when they’re performing their jobs, but on our side when asking for working conditions.
Their job is to protect capital and government. Same for military.
People get death threats for the most silly things these days, in all sorts of ways, and nobody is going to get fined. This is all BS.
Take the families who were harassed by Alex Jones for example, they got heaps of death threats and no one was fined for it.
Most people do not get the death threats on camera, and then have the person admit to the police they made the threat like the woman did.
The Alex Jones related threats were in fact anonymously made making it incredibly hard to verify and convict. Jones was also ordered to pay almost a billion dollars for making the original claims and spurring on the threats.
I thought some of those people got caught. Maybe I’m mixing that up with Jan 6ers though.
She told them that they were next. That is not a threat. That is a prediction.
She walked right up to the line, but the reports of her actions do not indicate she crossed it.
“Luigi Mangione allegedly killed your competitor’s CEO over behavior just like this. Keep this up, and some copycat is going to do the same to you.”
That’s not a threat. That is an observation; a prediction. That is protected speech. And that is a perfectly reasonable interpretation of the words she is reported to have spoken.
yeah, she said “you people are next”, and she said it to a specific person following an obviously politically motivated assassination. Very different from some X-itter anon reposting a vague anti-abortion slogan with no real attachments to something like a high-profile assassination.
It should be made clear, phone workers are not the ones deciding you and your loved ones don’t get anesthesia, they deserve no hostility as they are merely stuck in the same system trying to feed themselves and their families. The boards, ceo’s, and owners of insurance companies raking in billions… They very much should be terrified. Rightly so.
