Isn’t the areopress entirely manual? Why would it produce more consistent brews than a standard automatic drip machine?
It is manual. Most automatic machines have vast temperature differences in their brew cycle.
An Aeropress lets you have a more consistent brew profile.
But wouldn’t the areopress have inconsistencies with pressure and brew time? I don’t even know if areopresses have a pressure gauge.
I use a non electric manual espresso machine, and the hardest part is keeping the shots consistent with pressure and timing. As sometimes i might just press a bit too hard, that’s with a pressure gauge. But I still make mistakes. I couldn’t imagine anyone but an expert professional being able to be consistent enough for a scientific experiment.
