Been seeing a lot more people that are aware of/support Henry George. Makes the heart warm.

If only low-information apathetic undecided swing-state voters who will ultimately decide this election felt this way.

Friendly reminder:

  • Biden won by only 40,000 voters in 3 battleground states in 2020.
  • Biden was up 10 pts in the polls at this time in 2020.
  • Biden is anywhere from 3-6 pts behind trump in every reputable poll today.
  • There is nothing from here until November to suggest those polls will budge, given their long-term steadily-declining trend, especially in the aftermath of that catastrophic debate performance.

Yeah the American Democratic and Republican parties do not realize how much pain they’ve caused the world… including their own populace. Being eaten alive by bed bugs in prison with no A/C is… pleasant, compared to what is possible

I’m not voting in this election. I cannot support this two-party system.

So don’t vote for Trump or Biden. Vote for Jill Stein or Cornel West or any of the other non-two-party candidates.

if you arent going to vote in the presidents election. wont stop you, but regardless you should be voting in all your local office positions because those directly affect you more than the federal government will.

even if its not politicians at the bare minimum vote on measures or lose your right to complain about taxes.

that’s your choice but it might mean you get even less choice in the future

I already don’t have a choice. I’m British and I live in the United Kingdom.

I’ll be voting, but I do realize that even if the Republicans manage to dismantle the existing bourgeois democracy, that would have happened regardless of which way the election went, just like what happened in Nazi Germany.

The mechanism to oppose fascism is by no means voting, voting can help but it’s less important than legitimately organizing against it outside the electoral process. Fascism has never been defeated by asking it to go away.

Two-party system works whether 18 or 100 million people vote.

If you genuinely want to fight the two party system, join local action for ranked choice voting, and support local parties in local elections.

If the socialist youth get their arse in a voting booth you guys should be fine. https://circle.tufts.edu/2022-election-center

This is how you make politicians care.

We might also need the politically disaffected youth, the politically oblivious median boomer and everyone inbetween.

We need the people who would laugh at the suggestion that you can make politicians care by voting for them. It’s a hard argument to make with this candidate.

It’s not hard. This is where their power comes from. The fact that there is a well-oiled propaganda machine doesn’t change that.
