I remember before ChatGPT when AI used to be cool and amazing. Kinda sad it turned out this way

One day it will be cool and amazing again, but indeed evil, or more precisely greedy, people have perverted the term by inappropriate usage.
Sorta like how social media using “an algorithm” has similarly poisoned the well there. It seems to have gone on long enough even for people using Mastodon to want some form of “algorithm”, rather than start with literally nothing before having any followers.
We need to move forward! Unfortunately people looking for profits to the exclusion of all else want us to go backwards:-(.
