I’d say, just go in to any nursing home, and say you want to adopt s grandma. They propably assing you multiple ones; unfortunately in msny cseses there are loads of elderly people who don’t get visited by anyone, so they are very happy to have “volunteer visitors”.

There are a bunch on Etsy. Kind of like a adopt a granny except there are fees. Some were not too bad. Just google “crochet knight helmet”
