I choose to believe that you conceived and birthed your son via parthenogenesis. Based on my belief, please entertain us with the story of the romantic night during which you impregnated yourself.

What part of your single dad experience would you think others don’t expect or understand?

How fulfilling it is. You have to take full accountability. So when something goes bad you’re 100% responsible, but when something goes good it’s also all thanks to you. It feels great. Plus it’s nice to be able to have all power of decision & not have to reach an agreement with another person in charge.

What was the hardest time you went through as a single dad and how did you overcome it?

The beginning: it was hard to juggle everything - but after a solid routine / schedule - effective time management, it became acceptable. Later on in life: around 3 years ago I met and started dating this woman. Well, my son is very territorial and hates having strangers (even relatives or friends) stay over in our house - he likes peace and quiet and if there’s people around he shuts himself in his room as he feels “suffocated”. So I had to make the decision to not move in with her. Thankfully she understood and we have a good relationship, she visits and stuff but doesn’t spend the night.

Why did you two part your ways?

We had the kid, who was unplanned to say the least (even though we were in a long-term committed relationship). After he has born she realized she didn’t want to be a mom, so I assumed full responsibility of him & she left.

Is there anything about yourself you had to work hard on for the benefit of your son? Are you doing anything specifically to try and make sure he turns out well (whatever that might mean to you)?
