ADHD is a powerful drug. Sometimes the stupid task nobody asked you to do inexplicably needs to be done before anything else.

a systemrescue ISO is a life saver

I had to repair the bootloader twice because I was playing around with dualbooting

Even when not. Bootloader got damaged just running Arch when I was using it. Live disks are nice to have if you just need to get online and do basics quick.
