Based on the content of the linked post and the evolution of the thread here, the mod team has decided to lock this post. Just took a few years and literal internet harassment. I am glad the PR creator was able to figure out a fancy way of wording things to have it merged though. Very smart, lol.

There are two ways to manage something like this. This PR creator did all the right things. A clear explanation into the rational for making those changes citing English as a second language. Not “I’m butt hurt because you used the wrong pronouns and I demand changes now!!!1!1!11one!!”.
