🎼Hush now, hide, all you little ones Rush now, into the middle of nowhere Singing and laughter will die

Dreamless sleep, follows the Nowhere King When his kingdom comes, darkness is nigh

Quiet, crawl to the in-between Silent, secretive feeling Of fearsome hatred that reaches the skies

You will bring joy to the Nowhere King When he sees the light leaving your eyes

I had to go back and replay this the first time it was sung because I thought I misheard.

Still can’t decide which version was the best though.

I think I recognize the pumpkin guy from Over The Garden Wall. Who are the other two?

I also recognized him! The deer is the beast from the same show, isn’t he?

I thought so, but since I didn’t recognize the other one I figured they may each be from different shows.

From experience, if you find yourself in need of spirituality, finding comfort in some of the Old Ones (many to choose from) feels a hell of a lot more natural than any modern religions that I’ve been exposed to. Especially when your Old Ones embody the natural world and the cycle of the seasons. It’s all right in front of you. You just decide within yourself whether or not you believe there is a greater spirit residing in it.

A community to discuss Cosmic Horror in it’s many forms; books, films, comics, art, TV, music, RPGs, video games etc.

“cosmic horror… is a subgenre of horror fiction and weird fiction that emphasizes the horror of the unknowable and incomprehensible more than gore or other elements of shock… themes of cosmic dread, forbidden and dangerous knowledge, madness, non-human influences on humanity, religion and superstition, fate and inevitability, and the risks associated with scientific discoveries… the sense that ordinary life is a thin shell over a reality that is so alien and abstract in comparison that merely contemplating it would damage the sanity of the ordinary person, insignificance and powerlessness at the cosmic scale…”
