BEIRUT/JERUSALEM, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Israeli forces fired on two positions used by U.N. peacekeepers in southern Lebanon on Thursday and at another one on Wednesday, the U.N. force said, as Israel pressed its assault on Hezbollah and told Lebanese civilians not to return to homes in the south.
The UNIFIL force said two of its peacekeepers were injured in one of the incidents, when an Israeli tank fired at an observation tower at the force’s main headquarters in Naqoura, hitting the tower and causing them to fall. There were no casualties in the other two incidents, a U.N. source said.
The German chancellor just announced today that they will send more weapons to Israel, as now would be the time to be steadfast by their side. The foreign minister gave some bullshit of “the weapons need to be used in accordance with international law” veil…
I am so tired of this country proudly descending into the worst of its past.
Lemme guess, UNIFIL is Hamas? /s
They have been constantly saying UN is hamas, so probably will be their excuse
Send in the Swedish UN Peacekeepers.
Let’s see how the Israeli’s cope with Peacekeepers that have decentralised command and don’t have to wait for someone at the home to green light to fight back.
this is pathetic, fuck joe biden for doing next to nothing, he will be forever known for letting 100,000+ palestinians be murdered in front of his eyes as he sat there and did nothing to stop it.
Including 2000lb bombs, which the US Military refuses to use because the collateral damage is so massive and which Israel used in residential areas in both Gaza and Lebanon.
The useful idiots that have been going around for months defending Biden whilst he was sending Israel some of the worst conventional weapons the US has in the full knowledge that they would use them and with his own military advisors telling him how much collateral damage they cause, have a lot of blood on their hands for enabling this.
So pissed at the Swiss government selling weapons to Israel but blocking weapons to Ukraine because of “neutrality issues”.
Well the swiss famously aren’t neutral on Palestine, they specifically and openly refuse to recognize Palestine as a state.
As a Swiss person I gotta say the story is more complicated and nuanced, but yeah the right leaning coalition that has lead the country for the past couple decades does not favour recognising Palestianian Statehood “at this state in time”. Although one of the major four parties who makes up the coalition does (the second largest party in the country).
