I need a replacement for the white plastic socket that the usb/charge board plugs in to. I used hot air to pull out a drifting stick but that also heated and fell off, and of absolutely fucking course, fell into the floor air vent and went on a grand old slippy slide away.

Does anyone know the actual name for this part? Everything I have tried searching so far is apparently wrong

Looks like you can find replacements on Alliexpress. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805584512736.html

it was the socket that I needed but it was recmended to me after viewing that. It seems to be referred to as contact connector on ali. I swear I tried almost every other word in the listings that never showed up until I searched “ps4 contact connector”. Now if I search other terms again they show up. I don’t get how ali search works.

Alliexpress search is weird. It tends to focus on similar items you’ve viewed, so once you find a product you get better searches related to that product for a short while.

I’ve had luck on eBay buying broken controller for parts. Search for lot of ds4 controllers, with the for parts/not working box checked.
