The push for foldable phones is probably coming from those who funded the tech’s R & D. It’s a solution looking for a problem.

I think theirs will be when rollable phone tech is more polished. The folding stuff with the bulkier phone and creases while impressive tech looks outdated due to what people wish it could be like.
