For me, I watch Anton Petrov’s daily white paper summary with dinner since some time in 2018. Even when New Pipe is down, I hit up Vimeo or Odyssey to watch Anton.
I drink coffee on my porch with my wife so we can identify birds and say hi to all the runners and dog walkers.
I have to find my glasses. If your vision was so bad as mine that you can’t find your own glasses, and you’re two days out of work because they fell behind the night stand and you can’t see to find them, you’d understand…
The optional part was whether I wear my glasses while I sleep, as I usually have all my life, or place them on the nightstand…
I thought you were going to say the optional part was the missing work for 2 days rather than wear your spare pair.
Do you have a container on your nightstand to hold your glasses? Something big enough it’s unlikely to fall behind the table, that helps position them the same way every time so you won’t smudge the lens when you’re feeling for them?

Making coffee and tea for my wife when she wakes up, make the lunchbox for my student son, sometimes also for my wife if she needs to get to the office. Nobody eats breakfast so after that I clean up and fill the dishwasher from last nights dinner, that I cook daily. Inbetween I game, relax, make music, pet the cat.
It is nice being early retired and doing the housekeeping.
I do the crossword every morning with my coffee
Make my bed after waking up.
