Woke up early today and the first thought through my head was … Hey, the Pixel 9 Fold Pro is going to be available today. So I jumped on the site and found it… backordered until mid October.

Anyone else able to get one on T-Mo or another service or are they backordered from Google themselves?

Please do not ever buy a phone from your carrier.

I understand there are reasons not to buy a phone from a carrier. But when they give you $500 off, it’s a little hard to resist.

They’re not making a $500 donation, they’re just trading >$500 worth of value for something in return. What are the terms of this sale?

Do carriers still require a new two-year contract when you get a disocunted device from them?

It’s been possible to order pixel 9s for a couple weeks, hasn’t it? When I looked at one after the announcement, it was going to be here on release day. When I looked a few days later, it was going to be a couple more weeks.

I’m not surprised that they’re backordered for a while at this point.

The non-folds have been available for weeks. The Fold just went live today with T-Mobile.

Ah, I see. Well, I’m a little surprised it’s backordered that far then.

For fun, I checked Fi… Oct 23-30 for me.

I feel like it was not that long ago that 8’s were finally widely available.
