The Fallen Angel (French: L’Ange déchu) is a painting by French artist Alexandre Cabanel. It was painted in 1847, when the artist was 24 years old, and depicts the Devil after his fall from Heaven. The painting is at the Musée Fabre in Montpellier.

(… actually that’s a good headcanon - seagulls are like lesser demons, geese are archangels, birbs of prey are smart tricksters, peacocks are the ‘do not be afraid’ manifestations, shoebills are polite crossroads demons, pigeons are lesser angles and cherubs that shit on everything, etc)
Never forget everyone thought he was weirdo for making Satan so sexy. Great painting, though. It played into the seductiveness of Satan and added a deep level of humanity.
