Shoutout to the folks who plant sunflowers on boulevards, yards, or community gardens.
(I just saw this in the other community and figured you folks might appreciate it.)
There’s one growing through a road near me. I don’t think that’s a political statement though.
Sunflowers are awesome. They can pull toxins out of the soil including nuclear isotopes.

That’s why they were the source of The Ooze in the Teenage Ninja Turtles movie! The live action one that’s totally rad and no one can convince me otherwise! … even though I think I remember seeing #2 way more as a kid… and they are so very much products of their time …
Hey now. I would still argue the first Turtles movie holds up. The Jim Henson skills are just timeless.
