Today, Modiphius debuted a new Actual Play series for the second edition of Star Trek Adventures.
If anyone wants to get a feel for what the game is like, this is probably a good place to start.
I’m just the tiniest bit mad because someone gifted me the 1st edition last Christmas right before the new one. My main hope is the 2nd edition explains the rules better. I did notice better explanations in the quick start guide Modiphius has on their website and hope for the same in the book.
I think 1E and 2E are supposed to be pretty compatible.
But yeah…the 1E core rulebook is not great when it comes to explaining the actual rules in a way that’s concise and easy to reference in the middle of a session.
Of course, I also actually need Trek-loving friends to play it with anyhow. A family member once met a friend who was in the same situation but with a bunch of expansions. Unfortunately, she had moved away before a campaign could get started. Maybe I’ll try video conferencing…
