So, I want to add my own games to my sp running stock firmware and want to know if its possible to automate boxsrt scraping, o have had luck with the android build of retroarch getting boxart, does the Linux build do this too?

Iirc, if your ROMs match the names expected by the database Retroarch checks, it should load the box arts automatically.
