Two in one day, that’s pretty good.

Here’s a picture of the 2 confirmed victims of that first strike you’re referring to.

Edit for sake of accuracy: Hezballah just confirmed the death of their targeted member after previously claiming he survived which should put death toll at 4 including a woman and the 2 mentioned kids along with 74 injured in the strike

Wont, not can’t. Can’t implies that it’s not a choice.

If you define “good” as 1) a dangerous escalation that could spark a regional war and 2) effectively killing all hope of a ceasefire in Gaza, then I guess so?

A regional war that would likely pull the US in as well.

Of course. Who else would be providing the requisite military hardware?

The slavish display that we witnessed at Netanyahu’s speech in Congress makes it clear that the US is going to back Israel no matter what.

The trouble with killing the people who say the propaganda is you eventually end with the people who believe the propganda in charge. This was a consistent takeaway from the war on terror. If Israel were looking to prolong the war, taking out the relative moderates would probably help.

Not "Israel " but Netanyahu and the religious extreamist. Israel wants to release all the hostages and end the useless war already

Hell, Iran wants to have it prolonged too. They’ve dreamed of this. Spent a lot of time, energy and money to have things blow up this way. They don’t care: the ends justify the means.

Religious extremists in Iran. It’s a global war that the 3 religions declared on the western world, but somehow we keep calling the countries by names.

Iran didnt show any sign they want to prelong this war. The fact that before their drone attack notify both the US and the UK about the time of the attack refute your claim. Because they have the right to lunch a bigger attack if they wanted.

When did Ismael made a propaganda statement. He is a diplomatic office leader. His job is to meet and speak with other power in region.

It seems obvious that Netanyahu does not want peace. This war is the only thing keeping him in power. There is no incentive for him to seek peace.

And he’s very likely going to jail once he leaves office, so he has even more reason than most to cling on.

Genuinely curiuos why this comment in particular got obliterated. Do people dispute the premise that the leaders are more rational then the followers?

Pissed off both sides. Pro Palestinian posters don’t like that he was called a propagandist and Pro Isrealis don’t like any implication Netanyahu is killing a massive number of people to stay in power.

So they killed one of the negotiators, and who is considered moderate and more diplomatic.

I wonder how the relatives of the hostages still held in Gaza feel about it. Israel is doing everything possible to hijack the ceasefire negotiations process.

BBC is calling him a key figure in ceasefire negotiations:

So Hamas or not, interesting choice of target by the genocidal apartheid state.

Edit: and Al Jazeera says:

Turkish politicians view Haniyeh as a dedicated figure who has tirelessly worked to broker a ceasefire, frequently travelling between Doha and Istanbul.

So, who planned the Oct 7th attack? Fuck hamas and fuck bibi and his fascists for using them for his fascist politics.

Looks to me like a natural choice: the visible head of Hamas, which is the enemy. I don’t think Israel is interested in peace negotiations, so it is also a way to say they don’t care and they will wipe out everyone there. Which is in line with everything else Bibi & company have been saying and doing.
