So they didn’t address this at all in the article, which isn’t surprising considering it’s the New York Post and asking actual questions is probably Beyond them, but how they going to deal with the elephant in the room here? Any word whatsoever on that?

What i understand is that Doom never takes off his mask, at least in the comics. But hey Master Chief also didnt take off his helmet so who knows.

Potentially an alt-universe Tony Stark that became Dr. Doom.

Even if not, RDJ won’t be the first person to play multiple roles in the MCU, just the most prominent.

That would absolutely annihalate any desire I have to watch Marvel ever again, that would be such a terrible decision.

I rather enjoyed how Deadpool+Wolverine lampshaded this with Chris Evans.

What elephant in the room?

I’d imagine how they’re going to adress the fact that RDJ was Iron Man

RDJ is a great casting choice.

He’s likely to understand that any story about Doom, is Doom’s story. Doom thinks he’s the hero.

RDJ will get that and sell it to the audience.

Also, Marvel, you’ve earned your credibility. So stop neutering Doom. Let’s finally see him stick his face into Hell to trying to rescue his mother’s soul.
