I apologize if this video has already been posted here. I did a rudimentary look through the posts of the past few days and couldn’t see it.

Do these things “just work” like the R4 for the Nintendo DS? I know that’s old as hell but it was the last console/handheld I’ve owned lol

Probably not. As he said in the video, cartridges have unique IDs and Nintendo could blacklist them. It would however work if you never connected your Switch to the internet.

Hard to say at this point. If it’s anything like the 3ds flashcards (gateway 3ds, which TX apparently was also behind; sky3ds) the answer iss most likely “no” the gateway3ds was complicated to use, triggering exploits in the system software which needed new approaches for new firmware releases. Also, it was heavily DRMed, clones of the card could (intentionally) brick your 3ds bootrom, which reportedly also happened with original cards a few times.

Seeing as it looks to be the same team behind the gateway3ds and sxos, both of which suffered from similar tactics, I wouldn’t get my hopes up that this is going to be any better, but I would be happy to be proven otherwise.
