Did you know that the melody of the world-famous Christmas song “Carol of the Bells” was written by a Ukrainian composer? Mykola Leontovych created the Christmas carol “Shchedryk” based on the pre-Christian song. It was first performed in Kyiv in 1916.

Would still call it world famous. You might not know it, or you might not remember it’s name, however I’d think most adult ppl remember the melody of this song.

I guess most people have at least watched either Home Alone or Harry Potter 3, both featuring the song and leading to a “Oh my gosh that song!”-moment once heard.
