As a non vegan, I don’t really care too much and maybe even silently admire the commitment to a cause.

However, like with religion, don’t try to proselytize or treat me with ‘holier then you’ disdain. I get that it’s more than a diet, and more akin to a lifestyle, however if it’s the only thing you talk about it comes across as shallow.

I’d feel the same about someone into Krishna or Jehova. I’m interested to a point but don’t mistake my interest for a potential conversion.

But if your at my table I’ll do my best to serve you a great vegan meal to the best of my ability nor drone on about how I could never do without x.

Totally. My friends and I all have children. They just won’t respect reasonable boundaries. I tell them, if it’s so important to you, don’t beat your children, but don’t try to tell me how to raise mine. Like, how is it anyone else’s business if I beat my children??

This is not the place for you to process/rationalize away your guilt. Your comment does not even reference the fucking article. You have nothing to contribute, you are noise.

I wonder why people still get triggered…

It references the clickbait-y headline that is very similar to the one in the Vice article that seemed to be the inspiration for the blog post.

It’s also difficult to tell if your child beating is more of a false equivalency or a straw man but I’m going to go with false equivalence.
