Opposite for me, production value is always higher in the first episodes and they haven’t yet dragged out the concepts yet

A good show will introduce you, one by one, and make it a nice experience.

What sucks is watching (or reading) something halfway into development. Or taking a break during which you forgot all the names and what their roles signify.
