The problem is that Putin doesn’t care about Russia. He only cares about Putin.

One can only hope that they are right. Ukraine might not be able to have a prolonged war…

bro… it’s been almost 3 years. That’s more than prolonged. Ukraine has done their best under the circumstances.

and putin hasn’t even gotten to the hard part. if God forbid he were to occupy the country. That’s when the insurgency starts. it’s like he thinks if he takes the country Ukraine will just fall in line.

Yeah, but will they last another 2? The EU still seems to be under the impression that Russia might be reasoned with. Most NATO countries are still hovering around 2% military expenditures and bickering about who can send Ukraine what, or whether Ukraine can attack beyond their borders.

The men at the front are tired and need to be relieved, but thousands of men are fleeing the country in order not to get drafted, so prisoners are being given the option to go the front lines. They have been fighting a war with a hand strapped behind their back and it wouldn’t surprise me if they ran out of steam.

And if Trump wins, Ukraine will have to rely nearly fully on the EU. It’s doubtful the EU can increase military production in months when they’ve barely done so in years.

It’s my sincere wish that Ukraine wins, but its allies have to get their heads in the game. If Ukraine loses, I don’t even know if the EU has any plans at all or if they’ll be as “flabbergasted” as when Russia invaded a second time.

Ukraine has no other option but win. And they will.

Clearly the sanctions are not slowing Russia down.

Me too, which leads me to the conclusion that the sanctions on Russia are just paper tigers and their economy is fine.

It’s just not enough. Nato looks weak.

It’s not that NATO is weak, it’s more a combination of Ukraine being in some sort of a political heritage gray zone and of the insidious way in which amoral corporations became bloated monsters with an insatiable appetite, got its’ tentacles in every corner of the world with no oversight, a process that began during the reagan and thatcher era.
