Hello all! I was thinking about games I enjoyed so much when I played them that I still think about them nearly weekly and I was curious what games had that effect on you. For me those two games where:
- Disco Elysium, for it’s unique gameplay, excellent vibe, and incredible story telling.
- Stray, for it’s beautiful world, relaxing aesthetic, and insane polish / attention to detail.
I beat each of these over two years ago, and I’m still obsessing over how much I liked them. It took so much effort for summarize my love for those two games into two sentences. If you haven’t checked them out, you should!
- Nier Automata - Helped me think about unimportant things such as the meaning of life (or lack thereof). Also great gameplay variety.
- Enderal - Can humanity fix itself? Also, it shows what a community can do.
CrossCode stuck with me for a long time. Such charming characters, finishing it really felt like leaving friends behind.
Outer Wilds - I hope there will be a way to erase specific memories, to experience this game for the first time again. Just beautiful.
Dark Souls - I think I know the map better than the roads in my home town. Such a nice world.
Gothic - So many memorable NPCs, I think I still remember most of their names
Definitely firewatch. The story wasn’t the strongest but the environment was so nice.
I only recently got introduced to Firewatch but I loved everything about it. I then played Kona which hit the same spot and am looking forward to its sequel! Hopefully it won’t be as… rushed…
I actually have Kona in my library and played about half an hour and somehow never got further. I really need to pick it up again.
