IMO this and Material File Manager are currently the best for android

however, i think they all need improvement. such as:

  • long press popup context menu (for desktop right-click style menu),
  • top-bottom multi pane view,
  • file metadata/tag editing
  • optional image/video preview pane (bottom half of screen)

Material Files also has an ftp server integrated that’s quite nice

I’ve been actually really enjoying this one. It’s got some nice tools like zip/unzip which I recall are not possible actions in google’s filemanager.

The Fossify suite split off of the last open source version of Simple Mobile Tools, before SMT got swallowed by an advertising company. The head maintainer is also a former contributor to SMT.

They’re good, simple utilities.
