Super sad case. She tried to kill him to ease his suffering. If he’d been on the record supporting her decision, I think the sentence would have been very different. And she lost him to natural causes anyway. 😞

What a cruel joke. Violent criminals get shorter sentences for far worse crimes.

It’s considered cruel to let an animal suffer, and mercy to put it out of its misery. But a human? Sorry, you gotta suffer for as long as it takes.

I’m not sure she did it to ease his suffering as opposed to just couldn’t hack it any more. But yeah, the system failed this couple hugely

Usually a news article of someone trying to kill their spouse will paint the aggressor as a horrible person, and the victim as someone who had everything going for them and did no wrong.

Imagine copping dementia and then getting written up as a fucking burden on the person who tried to off you against your will.
