He was detained hours before he was due to gain immunity as an Alternative for Germany (AfD) MP when the parliament was sworn in on Monday afternoon.
Is it just me or is that sentence mangled a bit?
Regardless, I’m glad we’re seeing more and more consequences for these types of politician’s actions. Sadly most of the time, there’s either insufficient evidence or too many systemic issues to convict.
Like the recently leaked police chat, filled to the brim with antisemitism and nazi admiration was deemed “partially satire” and as such covered by freedom of art.
