TBF. My neighbour bought an I.D.4 in summer 2021 and I never even saw it as he constantly has an I.D.3 as a loaner from the dealer. After a year of constant repairs he cancelled the purchase and got a new Skoda Octavia estate (ice) as he needed something bigger for his three kids. In 2023 he got a Tesla model 3, as the financing was pretty amazing.

The ID4 had so many early errors that it was absolutely dogshit, but now most of the kinks has been worked out and it’s a decent car.

The cybertruck can probably become a decent (if insanely stupid car) once they work out the kinks. Tesla is still a brand with leprosy though

Having never owned a one i can’t say this with first-hand experience, but aren’t the issues with the cybertruck more to do with core design fuck ups.

To the point they wouldn’t really be considered “kinks” as much as critical design and safety flaws ?

Thats a fair point. It seems to be badly designed, engineeres and made, all at the same time.

My point was that it’s not uncommon for some of these electric cars that were rushed to be pretty bad. (Not because they are electric, but the rush to get models to the market.) The Toyota Bz4x was recalled (and sales stopped) because the wheels fell of.

If they stopped production of bz4x because they couldn’t fix it, why would you think Tesla well fix this dumpster? Not to mention all the flaws with the company itself.
