Supporters of Palestine have called to boycott the payment platform Stripe after its CEO and co-founder Patrick Collison - an Irish-American billionaire who has advocated for Palestinians in the past - posted on social media on Wednesday about his run on the beach in Tel Aviv and how it was “great” to be back.

Many responded to his post on X by pointing out that he was only thirty minutes away from the Gaza Strip. Conservative estimates say nearly 44,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s war on Gaza and two million have been under constant Israeli aggression as they fight what UN experts have called “'deliberate starvation”.

Some drew comparisons to the Academy Award-winning film, Zone of Interest, which depicts the everyday lives of Germans who lived next to the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War Two.

I have no problem with people doing things

I have a problem with people stumbling over themselves to ruin other people’s lives for wrong think, or small mistakes. There is no room for learning, growing and improving, no, er have to cancel, terminate, destroy.

The guy went to a beach and now somehow is complicit in a genocide? What the actual fuck, talking about an over reaction

And let there be no mistake, shit like this destroys lives. Has been doing ever since cancel culture became a thing. Just remembering this Nobel laureate that lost his job and got buried for making a joke that was taken the wrong way as being racist. Oh wait, he didn’t actually make that joke, some black woman made it all up just to be in the spotlight. His career was destroyed, the woman got her attention and was never punished, and nobody ever apologized to him for the pitchfork bullshit. This is how it always goes and it pisses me off.

This virtue signalling has nothing to do with stopping genocides, it’s all about “look at me being against genocide! Do you see me being against genocide? See me!”

Meanwhile there are real victims of this behavior

Stop it already

I can’t wait to see your comments in 2040 maybe you’ll have caught up to the times since you’re just shy of pulling out the entire 2010 cliche book.

I’m surprised you didn’t manage to squeeze in “SJWs” among your paragraphs and paragraphs of saying the same trite stuff.

Did you read anything at all?

Caught up with what times? The times where we publicly nail people to a cross just because he committed the horror of wrong think? This guy disagrees with the group, kill him!

Maybe we should go to public executions while we’re at it? You find that ridiculous, people thought the idea of a trump presidency was weird too

I’m literally saying that we don’t try to crucify people over tiny issues and you respond with “get with the time, man!” Well I don’t like this time.

Your behavior, again, is what made assholes liek trump possible in the first place. You and people like you put center people to the right and far right because you just don’t even know how to talk or reason anymore. You people destroy lives and then claim to be the good ones, then wonder why so many people voted for trump

Grow up
