I created this keyboard with the goal of having a display in each key. It has 72 keys and each key has a 72x40 px OLED display. They keys can change according to language and layout. Also displaying shortcut icons is possible :)

That’s not great, but that’s REALLY not bad! As in, totally reasonable for this board! Are you planning on making a whole bunch and selling them?

Well right, you can spend 400$ on a keeb without a single display and no custom software. As mentioned, I plan for a kit ( https://www.crowdsupply.com/polykybd/polykybd ), as I don’t want to assemble all the boards and it will be the fun parts for those who buy one.

Ergonomic, split and other weird keyboards

Rules

Keep it ergo

Posts must be of/about keyboards that have a clear delineation between the left and right halves of the keyboard, column stagger, or both. This includes one-handed (one half doesn’t exist, what clearer delineation is that!?)

i.e. no regular non-split¹ row-stagger and no non-split¹ ortholinear²

¹ split meaning a separation of the halves, whether fixed in place or entirely separate, both are fine.
² ortholinear meaning keys layed out in a grid
