when you’re brainwashed to believe words like “expert,” “evidence,” “science,” “education,” etc. are dirty words, it follows that it doesn’t matter how large a data set is-- it’s “fake news”

people constantly say “cognitive dissonance” when they should be using doublethink. there is no ‘dissonance’ when you see absolutely no problem with believing 2 completely contradictory things, e.g., “we must protect the children” and “oh well nothing we can do about school shootings”
