Yeah, sure, and everyone is entitled to their opinion on this matter, but the fact is, as a public figure, you risk a LOT by saying such a thing.

Yeah, now say that on a literal stage, with a microphone, in front of thousands, while the whole thing is being recorded.

Oh and you’re famous enough that it would be trivial for a pissed off crazy person with a gun to figure out where you and your children live.

I’m certain the first thing that came to mind wasn’t money.
